About Us

​We are a small, boutique agency all of our agents and Offices are independently owned and operated under licence from EthicsRealEstate.com.au Pty Ltd. At Ethicsrealestate.com.au we specialise in residential property sales.​
 Our reasonable advertising and selling fees and honest advice attracts sellers to our business so we do not have to chase new business and can concentrate on selling properties quickly hassle-free and at the highest price the market will pay.

​We have no expensive franchise fees or large office costs. We do not do property management so we can concentrate on our core business of selling properties.

Andrew Paton is an experienced real estate agent of the highest professionalism and integrity, as managing director and owner of EthicsRealEstate.com.au PTY LTD. In terms of capability, Andrew has 32 years of experience in sales, marketing and negotiation; nine years of which as Managing Director of a large furniture store. Over the last thirteen years, Andrew has been mastering the trade as a real estate sales agent, firstly with Independent Property Group followed by Ray White Canberra - taking out their Agent of the Year in 2008.
In 2010, Andrew founded EthicsRealEstate.com.au PTY LTD and advanced head on into the world of real estate with innovative thinking and an abundance of enthusiasm. Andrew is more than capable and highly committed to providing his clients the best possible sales result, with cost effective marketing, professional service and transparent honest advice.

Andrew is a dedicated family man with two young children. Andrew enjoys playing AFL 9s golf and socialising with family and friends. He is also a keen Brumbies and Raiders supporter and enjoys watching his children play in the park or on the sporting field. Andrew in his free time likes to read up on marketing, sales techniques, human behaviour and the odd biography.

Andrew is a licensed real estate agent and holds a Diploma of Property Services (Agency Management), and has recently completed a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking to further his proficiency in understanding the total real estate experience from a buyer’s perspective.

Andrew was excellent right from our first contact. At our first meeting I arrived armed with information garnered from my own research, from when I first realised that selling the property was the correct decision a few months earlier. Andrew also arrived with his own research and knowledge from his years in the industry.
I expected to be dictated to or coerced into something I didn't really want to do, an auction or lower property price. I was ready to lead the direction of the meeting so that didn't happen. Andrew, sat and heard me out with calm professionalism, acknowledging the work I had done. Then when I was finished, and we began to discuss pricing, he calmly suggested that maybe we should talk about "How" we could sell the property in a way that may increase my price expectation. By the end of the discussion, my reserve price had lifted and Andrew was confident that we could get an even higher offer.
We discussed, Advertising, Photography, Building Inspections and Solicitors and Andrew came prepared with recommendations and variations - prepayment, payment on settlement - and various price points. I took his recommendation on all services, and I was delighted with the prompt, professional and friendly service from each provider.
From Listing to Offer was 4weeks. From Offer to Settlement was 4weeks (including Xmas).
Andrew achieved his higher than reserve price and I was extremely happy with how rapidly he achieved it.
In the lead up to the sale, Andrew gathered feedback from those parties that had showed interest but where an offer had not eventuated. The feedback corresponded to information Andrew had mentioned in our original meeting as to possible blockers, and reasons I secretly had in my own mind.

Andrew Paton sold a 2 br unit in Canberra, finding a buyer within less than a month. His advice to go for an 'offers over' approach was the key. This encouraged reasonable offers because buyers knew they could acquire the property above that price. Once 3 offers were received, Andrew negotiated with them so that there was still a second buyer when the first prospective buyer's finance fell through. He then helped to negotiate some other emerging issues, and kept me informed of progress. The sale price was at the higher end of my expectations.
